Kenneth Lee Perry

Kenneth Lee Perry, 65, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born in Wilson, North Carolina on June 11, 1955, a son of the late Franklin D. Perry and Betty Ruth (Finn) Perry.

Ken worked as a farmer for most of his life. He milked dairy cattle for over thirty years, while working for Skyline Dairy at the Martz Farm in Ringgold. Milking cows and tending to the farm gave him great satisfaction and although he worked hard, he found peace and solace in his job.

He was a good father to his children. He cared deeply about them and was always just there when they needed him. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Ken liked to play in the pool league at Midway Inn, and he enjoyed watching the Steelers play. He also enjoyed going for walks.

He is survived by two children, Kenneth J. Perry, and Mandi Perry, both of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren, Abagail Perry, Madelyn Perry, Maxton Perry and Mason Perry; former wife, Margaret Louise (Huey) Perry; two sisters, Rose Harmon of Georgeville and Jenny Perry of Kittanning.

Preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Brandi Lee Perry, and half brother, Roy Finn.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Doug Wolfe.
