Kenneth W. Kriebel, 62, of 3977 Huckleberry Ridge Sligo died Wednesday afternoon December 2, 2015 from a sudden illness shortly after shooting a buck near his home.
Born July 15, 1953 in Brookville, he was the son of William and Helen Morris Kriebel. Ken was a 1972 graduate of Union High School in Rimersburg and then worked most of his life as an asphalt lab-technician for various construction companies and
worked for Glenn Hawbaker Co. at the time of his death.Ken was an avid hunter and fisherman, a member of the Sligo Sportsman’s Club, and most of spending time with his grandchildren. He was married February 13, 1989 to Jody E. Guntrum and she survives.
In addition to his wife Ken is survived by 3 daughters and their husbands; Brittany and Bryan Hunter of Butler, Mandie and Jeff Aughton of Huey, and Lesa and Gerald Byers of Rimersburg, 7 grandchildren; Dominick, Devin, Haley, and Makenzie Aughton, Taylor and Bryson Hunter, and Alanna Byers, and 2 brothers; Barry Kriebel of Curllsville and Tim Kriebel of Sligo.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Kriebel.
Ken’s family will receive friends Sunday December 6, 2015 from 11 AM until the time of services at 2 PM at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo, with the Rev. Larry Piper, pastor of the Sligo Chapel, officiating.
