Kurt Paul Strandberg, 46, of 1406 Manchester Lane NW, Washington, D.C., died unexpectedly Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. while visiting his sister and family.
He was born May 3, 1969 in Ridgway, son of the late Donald and Isabelle Lavella Strandberg. He was a graduate of Ridgway High School, Class of 1987, and Wilma Boyd Travel School in Pittsburgh. He spent his career in the airline industry and recently was a flight attendant for Air Wisconsin.
Kurt had many loves including holidays spent with family, Saturday Fall afternoons watching his favorite Penn State Nittany Lions football team, listening to music… especially a night out at a Kenny Chesney concert, bike rides to the Juno Beach Pier, a Sushi night out on the town, and hiking the Maroon Bells of Aspen and America’s national parks. He lived to travel and loved more than anything to share his many passions and grandest adventures with his family and friends.
Kurt is survived by his sister, Lisa Keiser and her husband Todd of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; a brother, Donald Strandberg of St. Marys; his beloved niece and nephew, Isabella and Jack Keiser; his cousin, Jean Marie Grecco and her husband Paul of Brockway and their sons, Michael and Peter; and by his stepmother, Margaret Strandberg and step siblings Darnell Eckert and Ken Blair.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Kurt Paul Strandberg will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Saturday, April 30 at noon with the Rev. Ross Miceli, pastor, officiating. Family and friends will be received in the St. Boniface Church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass.
