“They are the real deal! They are more than entertainment,” says Kate.

Pipe Dreams is a flashback to the mid 60’s – 70’s where music was the inspiration of a changing world, politics, and lifestyles. Their music turns the clock back to a generation who were striving to make a difference.

Recreating the sounds from this era, Pipe Dreams’ diverse show features a tribute to the British Invasion and American Rock & Roll with music from The Beatles, Stones, Doors, Monkees, and hits from Motown and Philly Soul, with a sprinkling of 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.

History of Pipe Dreams

Pipe DreamsIn 2001, Pipe Dreams began a journey as a Psychedelic 60’s band to set them apart from the multitude of Blues, Classic Rock, and 80’s bands that still populate the live music scene in the eastern United States.

They looked for a name that said “Psychedelic 60,” so it came down to Marmalade Sky or Pipe Dreams, and, of course, Pipe Dreams won!

Pipe Dreams Connection to R** Bandana Winery

In a previous interview with Pipe Dreams, band member Bob Malaniak said, “R** Bandana was a shot in the dark for us. We were told about it by a mutual friend and discovered a gem in the woods with a huge crowd of people that became big fans after our first show. It took us by surprise, I must say! Everyone there, every time we play there, has created such an party atmosphere, and it’s such a great time!”

Interaction with the crowd is right down Pipe Dreams’ alley. It’s their forté.

Malaniak said their performances are “always about the audience and their willingness to play a tambourine or (dance with a) hoolah hoop, while they sing along and dance.”

Pipe Dreams performs at many larger shows where the audience is too far from the stage, and the band enjoys seeking out those intimate venues where they can be right in the audience’s space, according to Malaniak.
