The art exhibit will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.
The long-standing art show is held during the Western Pennsylvania Laurel Festival and showcases paintings, photography, watercolor, and 3D art before judges and public attendees.
The Laurel Festival Art Show invites artists in the following categories:
- Professional: Degree in art related field, exhibits, sells, or teaches art related classes
- Non-professional: No formal training
- Student: 7th to 12th grade
- Elementary: Kindergarten to 6th grade
Artists are to bring in their art from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12.
Judges will critique the artwork on Monday, June 13, at 8:00 p.m.
The public is invited to attend.
Artists must make arrangements for their art to be removed Friday, June 17, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Early removal will not be permitted.
Prize money and ribbons will be awarded in the following categories:
- Best in show: $175.00
Adult
- First place: $125.00
- Second place: $85.00
- Third place: $50.00
Student
- First place: $70.00
- Second place: $50.00
- Third place: $30.00
The entry fee covers up to three items per exhibitor:
- Adult: $15.00
- Student: $8.00
- Elementary: Free (no award)
Classifications will include:
- Art Criteria: oil, acrylic, pencil, watercolor, ink, charcoal, pastel
- Photo Criteria: color or black and white – no snapshots
- 3D Criteria: sculpture, woodcarving, paper, fine crafts – No kits permitted. Please note: 3D awards will be based upon number of entries.
- Additional Criteria: All artwork must be framed, wired, and suitable for hanging on peg board.
