Laurel Festival Continues Today With Hometown Heroes Day, Military Banner Dedication

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Hometown Heroes and Military appreciation is Thursday’s theme at the Brookville Laurel Festival.

At 6:00 p.m., there will be a Military Troop Banner dedication in Town Square. There will also be a monument dedication on the courthouse lawn.

Friday will be the day for sidewalk sales and manufacturing tours.

Sidewalk sales on Main Street run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Don’t miss out on great sales at your favorite businesses!

What’s for lunch? How about Chicken BBQ from Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department?! They start selling at 11:00 a.m. and will go until they sell out.

Killin’ Time will be playing some great music in Town Square from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

But, wait – the week doesn’t end on Friday!

Saturday is the GRAND Parade!

Start off your day strong at the power lifting competition at the Brookville YMCA at 9:00 a.m.

The Grand Parade starts promptly at 2:00 p.m. on Main Street with Senator Chris Dush as this year’s Grand Marshall.

After the parade, children 12 and under can enjoy several firefighter’s games!

Free carriage rides will be available from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Mark Anderson Acoustic will play some music from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Don’t miss Heidi and the Hell Cats in Town Square from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Jefferson County Line will be performing at The Columbia Theater at 7:00 p.m.; tickets to see them are $20.00.

Finish out the night with a boomin’ firework display around 10:00 p.m. (note: this could be earlier due to weather).

Sunday wraps up the Brookville Laurel Festival with Family Faith Day.

A $5.00 Pancake Breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. in Town Square and runs until they are sold out!

Line up for the Strawberry Social and get a sweet treat to enjoy the Church Choir showcase that begins at 2:00 p.m. in Town Square.
