Lawrence “Larry” Blair Haugh, age 59, of Alexander Lane in Union Twp., passed away in the comfort of his home on Monday, August 28, 2017, after bravely battling cancer for over a year.
Larry was born on October 16, 1957, in Brookville, PA, to the late N. Dale and Joan Louise (Parsons) Haugh.
Larry graduated from the Clarion – Limestone High School, and he played for the high school football team the first year they were organized.
On May 1, 2007, he married Diana “Ruth” (Smith) Haugh, in Reynoldsville, PA; she survives him.
Larry was a member of the American Legion, Post 66, in Clarion, PA.
He was also a social member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, #983, in Brookville, PA.
Larry started working when he was 11 years old; He was a member of the “carwash gang” from Brookville, PA.
He also was a member of the Union BAC, Local 10, he drove Tractor Trailer, and he used his mechanical skills. Larry loved riding his Harley Davidson and his John Deere Tractor. He enjoyed driving his truck when he worked in that position.
He also enjoyed hunting, and he loved his dogs Gus and Mya.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by 2 step-daughters; Jami Krach, Amanda Kradel; 1 step-son; Michael (Nikki) Kradel; 1 brother; Len (Kathy) Haugh; 1 grandson; Nolan Daniels; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by 1 brother; Lewis Haugh; and 1 sister; Linda Haugh.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 31, 2017, from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, September 1, 2017, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00am, and officiated by preacher John Kerr.
Interment will take place at the Roseville – Bethel Cemetery, Union Twp., Jefferson Co, PA.
