Leonard Perry Ishman

Leonard Perry Ishman, 76 of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania died on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at his home in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania.

Born Saturday, June 21, 1941 in Kane, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Merle V. Ishman and the late Edythe E. Hetrick.

He was the husband of Carol A. (Leiberton) Ishman. They were married June 30, 1962 and celebrated 55 wonderful years together this year.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Vietnam Era. He graduated from Reynoldsville High School class of 1959. He retired form Northfolk and Southern Railroad where he worked for 34 years.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 935, St Martin of Tours 4th Degree, F.O. Eagles 540 and American Legion Post #392. He was an avid outdoors man, he enjoyed wood working and watching sports especially NASCAR.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, R. Curtis Ishman (Melinda) of Reynoldsville, PA, daughters, Kimberly Reiter (David) of Sagamore Hills, OH and Christine Britton (Brian) of Johnstown, PA, sister, Andrea Yohe (Russell) of Reynoldsville, PA, sister-in-law Carol Ishman of Glenn Ellyn IL; 6 grand children Brandon, Brittany, Brandi, Brooklyn, Jonnie and Adam; 8 great grand children Janelle, Everett, Jude, Emerson, Amelia, Eden, Arlynn and Everly.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Burton Ishman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Friday June 30, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 607 E. Main St. Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania 15851 with the Fr. William Barron officiating.
Military honors will be preformed by the DuBois Area Honor Guard following the service. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park , Reynoldsville, PA.

Friends and family will be received 10 to 11 am before the service.
