Lester J. Burdick

Lester J. Burdick age 52 of Kearney Road Brockway, PA; died on Friday August 21, 2015 at his residence.

Born on May 9, 1963 in Cuba, NY; he was the son of the late Nathan and Laura Baham Burdick Sr.

He was married to Joanne Dixon and she survives.

Retired, over the years he was employed at the Ames Store in DuBois, as an EMT, at the Dutch Pantry in Falls Creek, as a laborer at Owens-Brockway Plant 18, as a janitor at the Sheetz store in Falls Creek and as a plumbers helper for Tom Trunzo.

Lester was methodist by faith. He was a member of the Brockway Sportsmens Club, V.F.W. Club, Sandy Club, S.O.I., and the Brockport Army/Navy Club. He was a true “ jack of all trades” and was willing to help anybody with anything. He is survived by 5 daughters: Rebecca Dixon, Nikki Dixon and Billie Trimble all of DuBois; Alana Burdick of St. Marys, PA; Sheri Beck of San Antonio, TX; 2 Brothers: Nathan (Patty) Burdick Jr. of DuBois and Fran (Mary) Adams of Erie, PA; 2 Sisters: Martina “Tina” Sikes of Cuba, NY; Peggy (Doug) Brownell of Brandon, FL. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by 2 brothers George and Melvin Burdick. Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 27 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 28 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Trask officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
