Local Businessman Allegedly Collects Payment for Undelivered Grave Marker

investigation WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – According to DuBois-based State Police, an alleged incident of deceptive business practices occurred at Lakelawn Memorial Park, in Reynoldsville, Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

Police the 78-year-old female victim allegedly signed a contract with Edmund Grenier, Jr., of Lakelawn Cemetery, on November 2, 2010, purchasing a bronze marker and granite base. The victim paid a total of $2,845.00.

As of June 10, 2016, the granite stone and bronze marker have not been ordered or placed at the intended gravesite.

Prosecution is declined in this case due to the fact the incident is beyond the five-year statute of limitations.
