Reynoldsville Man Charged With ‘Body Slamming’ Victim During Violent Domestic Dispute Due in Court Thursday

WARSAW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Reynoldsville man charged with “body slamming” a victim during a domestic dispute is due in court on Thursday.

Court documents indicate 26-year-old Jesse Allen Reitz is scheduled to stand for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, on the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

He is currently free on a $11,000.00 surety bond.

The charges stem from a domestic incident in Warsaw Township in late May.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, around 8:33 p.m. on Friday, May 29, DuBois-based State Police were dispatched to a residence on Egypt Road in Brockway, Warsaw Township, Jefferson County, for a report of a violent domestic incident.

According to the complaint, at the scene, Jesse Allen Reitz reported he got into an argument with a known woman and shoved her to the ground during the argument.

The victim told police: Reitz “threw me on the ground and beat the s*** out of me,” according to the complaint.

A witness at the residence adjacent to the scene reported hearing Reitz and the victim arguing, and he walked over toward the scene. He said that Reitz “body slammed” the victim on the ground. He told Reitz “that was enough,” and then Reitz reportedly got off the victim.

Reitz was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 30.
