Local Man Falls Victim to Identity Theft

BARNETT TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police are investigating an incident of identity theft that occurred in Barnett Township last year.

Around 1:28 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, Marienville-based State Police received a report of a possible identity theft that occurred between April 14, 2018, and October 2, 2018.

Police say unknown individual(s) took out a loan in a known 53-year-old Clarington man’s name in the amount of $1,093.00.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
