Local Man Hospitalized with Serious Injuries After Vehicle Crashes Into Tree Along Route 322

WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A local man was hospitalized with serious injuries after his vehicle reportedly collided with an embankment and a tree on Friday evening in Winslow Township.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the crash occurred at 7:07 p.m. on Friday, September 15, on U.S. Route 322, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 35-year-old Joshua A. Blanchard, of Punxsutawney, was traveling east in the left lane when he crossed over into the westbound travel lane.

The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment. It then struck a tree and came to final rest up against the tree.

Blanchard was not using a seat belt and suffered suspected serious injuries.

He was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois by Dusan Community Ambulance.

Reynoldsville Fire Company, Sykesville Volunteer Fire Company, and McCool Towing assisted at the scene.
