Brockway Man Taken Back into Custody After Absconding During Work Release

PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Brockway man was taken back into custody on Wednesday after absconding during work release from the Jefferson County Jail.

On January 20, Punxsutawney-based State Police were advised on Wednesday that 33-year-old Christopher Noland had left his approved work-release program, effectively absconding from the Jefferson County Jail without authorization.

Police say Noland was later located by the DuBois City Police and DuBois-based State Police and was taken back into custody without incident. Noland was then processed and transported to the Jefferson County Jail by Jefferson County Adult Probation.

Charges are pending through District Court 54-3-03.

Court documents indicate Noland has a history of criminal activity in the local region, with ongoing cases in Indiana and Elk counties and previous cases in Jefferson and Clearfield County.
