Local Woman Injured in Route 119 Crash

BELL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a local woman was injured in a crash that took place on State Route 119 on Monday afternoon.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, the accident happened around 4:08 p.m. on January 17, on State Route 119, just west of Brown Bridge Drive, in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 22-year-old Margaret-Ann F. McCrillis, of Punxsutawney, was operating a 2009 Toyota Matrix traveling south on State Route 119, and going too fast for conditions, when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then struck the guide rail on the left side of the roadway.

McCrillis and her passenger, identified as 22-year-old Ryely J. Nadeau, of Punxsutawney, were both using seat belts.

McCrillis suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to the Punxsutawney Area Hospital by Jefferson County EMS.

Nadeau was not injured.

Big Run Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

McCrillis was cited for a speed violation.
