Local Woman Injured in Crash on Route 119

HENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Brookville woman was injured in a crash that happened on State Route 119 on Tuesday.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, a two-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 119, just south of Weld Road, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 46-year-old Michelle R. Lingenfelter, of Brookville, was operating a 2021 Toyota Venza traveling northbound on State Route 119 when she slowly turned off of Route 119 and onto Weld Road in front of a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by 34-year-old Cory S. Yohe, of Reynoldsville, that was traveling southbound on Route 119.

Yohe’s vehicle then struck Lingenfelter’s vehicle on the passenger side, pushing it off of the roadway and onto an embankment along the southbound shoulder where it came to rest.

Lingenfelter suffered suspected minor injuries. Sykesville Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

Yohe was not injured.

Both drivers were using seat belts.
