Log Truck Rolls Over Closing Route 322 for 1.5 Hours

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to a log truck accident on Route 322 in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, at 10:28 a.m. February 8 70-year-old Joseph Gioan, of Mercer, was attempting to make a right hand turn in a 1985 Kenworth W90 Log Truck.

Police say the truck suffered an equipment failure causing it to roll over onto the driver’s side.

The truck came to rest on its side blocking both lanes of traffic on Route 322.

Route 322 was closed for approximately 1.5 hours for clean up operations.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Bricen Towing.

Pinecreek Fire Department, Jefferson County EMS, Brookville Police, Bricen Towing, Ruff Bark Trucking, and Hitchcock Lumber assisted at the scene.
