Lois J. Shofestall, 89, Falls Creek, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born December 31, 1925 in Falls Creek, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Esther (Jones) Smith.
She married Charles Clair Shofestall on September 13, 1946 in Knox, PA. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2005.
Lois graduated from Falls Creek High School in 1942. She was a homemaker. Lois was an active member of the Falls Creek United Methodist Church, and filled the church with song as their organist. She also served her Lord as a member of the Gideon’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Connie (Tom) Buskey of Reynoldsville and Douglas (Lori) Shofestall of Union City, PA; five grandchildren, Scott McAnich, Cheri Ishman, Chris McAnich, Zachary Shofestall, and Samantha Shofestall; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Hilliard of DuBois and Marilyn (Steve) Hanzely of Reynoldsville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Ross.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, August 27th from 4-8 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. in DuBois and Friday, August 28th from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Falls Creek United Methodist Church. A funeral service will follow the church visitation at 11 a.m. with Rev. Leon Blose officiating. Interment will be in Beechwoods Cemetery.
