Louis J. Serian, 96, of North Port, Fla., passed away Monday Sept. 7, 2015.
He was born July 30, 1919, in Rossiter, Pa., to Ralph and Mary Serian.
Louis was an active member of the Knights of Columbus at SS Cosmos and Damian Catholic Church in Punxsutawney, Pa., and San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port. He was also a member and former officer of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Pennsylvania and Florida.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann Smorey of Parrish, Fla., and Jane Ables of Rohnert Park, Calif. and grandson, Louis Knight of Petaluma, Calif. Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Angeline (née Jordan) Serian; father, Ralph Serian; mother, Mary (née Cavalier) Serian; brother, John Serian and sister, Josephine Kanza Serian.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at San Pedro Catholic Church, 14380 Tamiami Trail, North Port.
Arrangements are by McKee Funeral Home-Cremation Centers of America, North Port.
