Louise L. Barkley

Louise L. Barkley, 74, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday February 2, 2016, at her home.

She was born August 10, 1941, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Helen R. (Woolford) and A. Duff Lewis, Sr.

On February 3, 1974, she married Thomas B. Barkley, who preceded her in death on December 23, 2011.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Punxsutawney. She was a graduate of the Grove City High School Class of 1960.

Louise worked as a Legal Secretary for Lindsay Coal and Lukehart and Lundy Law Firm. Her hobbies included golfing, knitting, cross-stitching, and travelling.

Surviving relatives include a son Gary Barkley and wife Karen of Marion Center; a granddaughter Kendell Barkley of Estero, FL; a brother A. Duff Lewis, Jr. of The Villages, FL; two sister-in-laws, Ann Mumper of Punxsutawney and Angie Barkley of Punxsutawney; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2016, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the funeral home with Reverend Brett Swanson officiating. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Barkley, to the Presbyterian Church of Punxsutawney or to the Punxsutawney Community Center.
