Louise M. Miller

Louise M. Miller, age 90, of Laurelbrooke Landing Brookville, formerly of KnoxDale PA, died Monday April 27, 2015, at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Louise was born on October 16, 1924, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Harvey Kniseley and Naomi Geist Kniseley. Louise was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Brookville.

She was a homemaker and she owned and operated a gift shop near Cook Forest for several years. She also owned an antique shop for over 20 years. She
enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and making crafts for her grandchildren. Louise belonged to Eastern Star, Green Valley Grange, Pennsylvania Pamona Grange, and Hit N’ Miss Engine club.

Louise was married to Joseph M. Miller who preceded her in death on September 22, 2001.

Surviving are her 2 daughters; Brenda Bish (Joe) of Langville PA, and Debbie Fitzsimmons (Ken) of Scandia PA. She has 5 grandchildren; Melanie Bish, Holly Sharp
(Winston), Lucy-Jane Rector (Matthew), Crystal Jewell (Jeremy), and Casey Fitzsimmons (Krista). She is also survived by her 8 great-grandchildren; Joey, Elsie, Adella, Geneva, Ryan, Carly, Amelia, and Brady; all whom she loved dearly.

Her sister Jane Harriger of Buford GA, also survives her.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Carolyn Vanleer and Elsie Wolf.

Numerous nieces and nephews survive her.

Family will receive friends on Friday May 1, 2015, at McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Brookville PA, 15825, from 10am – Noon. A funeral service will begin at Noon in the same location. Interment to take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville, PA. Officiating at the funeral service will be the Rev. James Steingass.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Knox Township Fire Company, 5005 Ramsey Town Road, PO Box 147, KnoxDale PA, 15847.
