Lyle E. Wachob, Sr.

Lyle E. Wachob, Sr., 86, Punxsutawney, died Friday, December 26, 2014, at Mulberry Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Punxsutawney.

He was born October 27, 1928, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Crist and Louise (Brewer) Wachob.

On April 17, 1949, he married Geraldine “Gerry” F. Martin, who survives.

He was a member of the First Church of God of Punxsutawney.

He worked as a farmer and in excavation.

Lyle enjoyed horses, farming, hunting, his farm dogs, and taking his daily ride around the farm on his four-wheeler.

In addition to his wife, surviving relative include five children, Lyle Wachob, Jr. and wife Shirley of Punxsutawney, Margaret Hudock and husband Mike of Punxsutawney, Mary Allenbaugh and husband Charles of Punxsutawney, Gurn Wachob and wife Michele of Punxsutawney, and Chris Wachob of Punxsutawney; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and two sisters, Sally Himes of Pittsburgh and Jane Whitesell of Blairsville, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son David Wachob.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at the First Church of God of Punxsutawney.

Interment will be on the Wachob Family Farm.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mr. Wachob, to the First Church of God of Punxsutawney, 23 Skyview Drive, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
