M. Ann Watt

M Ann WattM. Ann Watt, 87, of Corsica, PA, died Saturday February 20, 2016 at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

M. Ann Watt was born June 1, 1928 in Xenia, Ohio. Her parents were the late Dr. and Mrs. James P. Lytle D.D. She was married September 1, 1950 to Harry H. Watt in the United Presbyterian Church in West Allis, Wisconsin, by their father’s Rev. Raymond Powell and Dr. James P. Lytle.

She attended Monmouth College, Monmouth, IL, for two years and later graduated from Layton Art School, Milwaukee, WI. She was a member of D.A.R., and served 55 years as a member of the Brookville Presbyterian Church choir. She was also a member of First Assembly of God Church, Brookville, PA. She was a farmer’s wife, homemaker, artist, and enjoyed researching family history and traveling.

She is survived by her husband and four daughters, Barbara “Russ” Smith of Lakeland, FL, Joan Watt of Arnold MD, Mary “Mitch” Yeadon of Bellflower, IL, and Susan Crooks of Corsica, PA. Also surviving are three nephews, James “LaVonne” Lytle of Beloit, WI, Dennis “Daravan” Lytle of Billington, WA, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother James Logan Lytle and a sister Mary Jean Lytle.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday February 25, 2016 from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm at the Furlong Funeral Home, (www.furlongfuneralhome.com), Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad St. and First Ave., Summerville, PA, and Friday February 26, 2016 from 2 – 3pm at the Roseville Independent Chapel 3598 Rt. 322 Brookville, PA. The funeral service will follow at 3pm with Pastor John Thomas officiating. Interment will take place at St. Johns “Windy Hill” Cemetery, Rose Twp., Jefferson County, PA.

Per the family’s request, memorial donations may be made to the Roseville Independent Chapel.
