M. Kathryn Nelson, 79 of Punxsutawney passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Nelson was born April 1, 1938 in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Harvey and Dorothy (Smith) Heberling.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Richard F. Nelson.
She was a member of the First Church of God. Kathryn loved baking cookies, especially at Christmas.
She is survived by two sons; Vincent M. Nelson and wife Laura and Richard H. Nelson all of Punxsutawney.
One daughter; Vicki Yenzi and husband John of Anita along with two special nieces; Nancy Verdill of worthville, Bobbie Mohney of Reynoldsville, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and her beloved dog Ginger.
