Madeline E. Anderson

Madeline E. Anderson, 97, formerly of 419 Hacker Street in Kane, died early Sunday morning, January 3, 2021, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.

Born August 15, 1923, in Sergeant, she was the daughter of Merle E. and Pearl Zerbe Fitzgerald. On August 17, 1946, in Kane, she married Willard G. Anderson, who died in 1997.

A graduate from Kane Schools in 1941, Madeline worked at the former Holgate Toy Company for fifteen years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kane as well as the Kane Senior Center.

Surviving are nieces, Karen Burton, Carla Cowart, and Cynthia Fisher and her nephew, Charles Fitzgerald, plus several cousins. She was a godmother to Karen Burton and Scott Schul.

Preceding her in death, besides her husband and parents, are her twin brothers, Charles and Carl Fitzgerald and a niece, Candace Fitzgerald.

Due to COVID restrictions, a service will be held privately on Wednesday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. with the Rev. Calvin Cook, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 112 Greeves Street, or to the Lutheran Home at Kane, both in Kane, PA 16735.
