Man Arrested After Grabbing Woman By Throat, Holding Her Down

crime-newsBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Borough Police were dispatched to a domestic dispute that occurred on South White Street, in Brookville, Jefferson County.

Police were called to the scene on January 15 by the victim who reported that a known male grabbed her by the throat and held her down against her will. As a result, the victim sustained bruises to her arm and neck.

After conducting an investigation, it was determined that the injuries were sustained during the altercation and that the male suspect caused the injuries, according to police.

Brookville police charged the suspect with Simple Assault, False Imprisonment, and Harassment.

He was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail pending a preliminary arraignment.

Brookville Police did not release the name of the suspect.
