Man Arrested for Breaking into Residence in Brookville

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Police say a man was arrested on Wednesday for breaking into a residence and assaulting a man in Brookville.

Around 11:33 p.m. on April 28, Brookville Borough Police were dispatched to a report of a man who entered another person’s residence and assaulted another man before fleeing down Euclid Avenue.

At the scene, police spoke with a known 33-year-old male victim from Fairmount City who reported that a known 43-year-old man had entered the apartment by forcing the door open by either shoving it open or kicking it.

The victim reported that the man then grabbed him and began to punch him before leaving the scene.

According to police, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Police say the suspect was charged with burglary, trespassing, criminal mischief, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and harassment through District Court 54-3-03 and released on his own recognizance.
