Man, Boy Flown from Scene of Interstate 80 Rollover Crash

SANDY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A man and a juvenile were flown to Pittsburgh area hospitals following a rollover crash Tuesday night on Interstate 80 in Sandy Towsnhip, Clearfield County.

According to a release issued by DuBois-based State Police, the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. when a commercial vehicle traveled off of Interstate 80 East near mile marker 96 and rolled onto its roof in the median.

Police said a male driver and a juvenile male passenger were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated from it.

Both occupants were flown by LifeFlight to Pittsburgh area hospitals.

Their names have not been released.

Interstate 80 East was closed as a result of the crash but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
