Man Busted Peddling Meth in Punxsy

PUNXSUTAWNEY BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Felony charges have been filed against a Homer City man busted selling methamphetamine to confidential informants in Punxsutawney.

Court documents indicate the Jefferson County District Attorney filed criminal charges against 60-year-old Timothy Pierre Storms.

According to a criminal complaint, on March 2, a confidential informant (C.I.) informed agents of the Jefferson County Drug Task Force that he/she could assist in the purchase of methamphetamine from Timothy Pierre Storms.

The complaint indicates the C.I. arranged a purchase of an “8 ball” of methamphetamine from Storms in exchange for $200.00.

According to the complaint, task force agents then observed as the C.I. met with Storms in Punxsutawney and made the exchange of $200.00 in official prerecorded funds for a fast-food bag containing 3.74 grams of methamphetamine.

Task force agents were then contacted by another C.I. who stated he/she could assist in the purchase of methamphetamine from Timothy Pierre Storms on March 10, according to the second complaint.

The C.I. arranged a meeting in Punxsutawney to purchase an “8 ball” of methamphetamine from Storms in exchange for $200.00, plus paying off some of the C.I.’s “debt” to Storms, the complaint indicates.

Task force agents then observed as the C.I. met with Storms and made the exchange of $250.00 in official prerecorded funds for two ziplock bags containing a combined total of 3.74 grams of methamphetamine.

The following charges were filed against Storms through Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock’s office on October 29:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony (two counts)
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3 (two counts)
– Intentional Possession of Controlled Substance by Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor (two counts)

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, with Judge Mizerock presiding.
