Man Cited for Cruelty to Animals in Brookville

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Georgia man was cited for cruelty to animals following a recent investigation.

Brookville Borough Police were called to the Travel Centers of America on Tuesday, August 6, for a report of a dog that was left tied out to a railing and abandoned.

According to police, the owner of the dog, a known 22-year-old Georgia man, was then identified, and charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Gregory M Bazylak’s office.

The man’s name has not been released.
