BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Jefferson County Coroner Brenda Shumaker says the death of a man who was found recently at the Brookville Borough complex has been ruled a suicide.
According to Shumaker, the 47-year-old Montgomery County man was discovered deceased at the Brookville Borough complex on Monday morning.
Shumaker noted the cause of death was apparent suicide by a gunshot wound to the head.
According to Brookville Borough Chief of Police Vince Markle, there was no threat to the public involved.
“It’s just a sad situation,” Markle said. “It’s not uncommon for people to come into our area to commit suicide.”
