Man Injured in Burnside Township Rollover Crash

BURNSIDE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Westover man was injured in a rollover crash that occurred in Burnside Township late last week.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, the accident happened around 5:53 p.m. on November 5, on West Ridge Road just south of Westover Road in Burnside Township, Clearfield County.

Police say 26-year-old Devon D. Kurtz, of Westover, was operating a 2013 Toyota Corolla, traveling west on West Ridge Road when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle then partially left the roadway, entered back onto it, and traveled approximately 40 yards before striking an embankment and flipping onto its roof.

Kurtz suffered possible minor injuries and was transported to Conemaugh Miners Medical Center by Hastings Area Ambulance Association.

He was using a seat belt.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Scott’s Auto & Repair Company.

Westover Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

Kurtz was cited for a speed violation.
