Man with 14-Year-Old Passenger Stopped for Traffic Violation in Punxsy Faces DUI, Reckless Endangerment Charges

policePUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – A traffic stop in Punxsy on Thursday afternoon led to a DUI arrest.

Punxsutawney-based State Police say a known, 41-year-old man was stopped around 5:09 p.m. on April 27 for a summary traffic violation on Park Avenue near Beyer Avenue, in Punxsutawney Borough, Jefferson County. During the stop, the driver was suspected to be DUI and subsequently taken into custody.

At the time of the stop, the suspect had a known 14-year-old male as a passenger.

Charges of DUI and Recklessly Endangering Another Person are pending.

The name of the driver was not released.
