Man, Woman Allegedly Force Teen to Smoke Pot in Bell Township

Police car lightsBELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say an incident of Corruption of Minors occurred in the Bell Township Elementary School parking lot, in Jefferson County.

According to police, in the commission of this crime, 19-year-old Kyle John Buffington, of Punxsutawney, and 42-year-old Marci Rebekah Schaffer, of Big Run, allegedly forced a 16-year-old female juvenile to smoke marijuana within their vehicle.

The incident occurred around 4:16 a.m. on March 6, 2015.

Police say the marijuana was purchased prior to a paper route and then smoked in the parking lot of the Bell Township Elementary School.

Both suspects were charged with one count of “Corruption of Minors” through District Court 54-3-01, in front of Judge Chambers.
