Manhunt Continues for Fugitive Who Fled Police in New Bethlehem Yesterday

gregory-douglasDAYTON, Pa. (EYT) – State Police continue to search for a 40-year-old Kittanning man wanted on fraud-related charges.

Authorities searched the Dayton area last night for Gregory L. Douglas, 40, of Kittanning, after he fled police following a routine traffic stop in New Bethlehem around 7 p.m.

He is wanted on charges of fraud, counterfeiting, and driving with a suspended license.

According to police, Douglas later abandoned his vehicle in the Dayton area and fled on foot. Two passengers in the vehicle were later apprehended. Their names have not been released.

Authorities have scoured the area, using helicopters, additional manpower, and a K-9 team, but have not been able to locate Douglas as of Tuesday afternoon.

Douglas is not believed to be armed, according to police.

He is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-11, 190-pounds, with blue eyes, short brown hair, and a goatee.
