Margaret Elaine Sigworth, 75, of Fairmount City, died on Sunday afternoon, March 13, 2016, at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Born on August 29, 1940 in Climax, she was a daughter of John and Celie (Emahizer) Horne.
She was married on December 28, 1958 to John L. Sigworth. They were married 57 years.
She attended the First Church of God in New Bethelehem. She was a member of the Clarion American Legion and the Clarion VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, John L. Sigworth of Fairmount City, a son, David J. Sigworth, Sr. and his wife Teri of Fallston, Maryland, a daughter, Gina George and her husband Ed of New Bethlehem, three grandchildren, Christine Sigworth, D J Sigworth and Brittany Sigworth, a step grandson, Michael George, two sisters, Bea Ansel and Alberta (Emahizer) both of Tarentum, and a brother, Roy Emahizer of Apollo.
She was preceded in death by both parents, two sisters, Loretta Fouse and Jeanette Beri, two brothers, John Emahizer and Gary Emahizer, and a step grandson, Alan George.
Her wish was to be cremated.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 1:00 pm at the First Church of God in New Bethlehem with Pastor John Phillips officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
