Margaret “Foxie” Patton

pattonMargaret “Foxie” Patton, 84, of St. Paul’s, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville (West Salem Twp.), PA, formerly of 60 District Rd., Delaware Twp., passed away peacefully at 11:10 pm on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the nursing home.

She was born on May 27, 1930, the second of four girls, to the late Clarence and Grace (Smith) Foulks, in Brookville, PA where part of her heart has always remained.

She was known by friends and family as “Foxie”. She married W. Leroy “Joe” Patton on July 3, 1949, and they moved to Greenville in 1953, where they lived and raised their family. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2004.

Over the years, she worked in retail at various stores in the Greenville area, including: JC Penny’s, Murphy’s, Riverside Grocery Store, and H&R Block.

Foxie loved flowers, music, dancing, traveling, collecting bells, and watching birds in her bird feeders. She loved her family and doted on her four grandchildren.

She is survived by: two sons, Michael Patton, and Roger A. Patton and his wife, Shirley, all of Greenville; a daughter, Kathy Painter of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Tracy, Kelly, Tom, and Jonathan; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; three sisters: Ellen Jean Hetrick of Hazen, PA, Sue Ann Wells, and Doris Ord and her husband, Don, all of DuBois, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 10, 2015, from 4-7 pm at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 73-75 Columbia Ave., Greenville.

Visitation will also be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home, Inc., 1033 4th Ave., Brockway, PA, where funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm

Burial will follow the services at Beechwoods Cemetery, Falls Creek, PA.
