Margaret “Jane” Conrad

1571617_profile_pic[1]Margaret “Jane” Conrad, 83, Rochester Mills, died Friday April 24, 2015, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born June 15, 1931, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Loy and Veda (States) Vite of Rossiter.

She was married on September 16, 1949 to Lavelle Conrad, who survives.

Jane enjoyed baking, gardening, and camping in her spare time, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by five children, Mr. & Mrs. Gary (Tibby) Conrad, Mr. & Mrs. George (Donna) Grabany of Punxsutawney, Dr. & Mrs. Vince (Tammy) Conrad of McMurray, Mr. & Mrs. Kevin (Debbie) Shannon of DuBois, and Mr. Doug Conrad of Rochester Mills; a brother Donald J. Vite of Punxsutawney; two sisters, Ida Neal of Rossiter and Mrs. Robert Jefferies (Sandy) of Marion Center; eleven grandchildren, Christopher Grabany, Lauren and Lance Conrad, Derek and Troy Conrad, Mr. & Mrs. Matt (Tonya) Conrad all of Punxsutawney, Mr. & Mrs. Scot (Kelly) Helton of Columbus, OH, Tyler Conrad of Pittsburgh, Mr. & Mrs. Patrick (Michelle) Grabany of Harrisburg, Brock and Zayne Rhed of DuBois, and Mr. & Mrs. D. J. (Amy) Rhed of Brockport; four great grandchildren, Brayden Grabany, Emalyn and Maelee Conrad of Punxsutawney, and Alyson Rhed of Brockport.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Tommy Vite.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the Steffy United Methodist Church with Pastor Gary Donaldson officiating.

Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Rossiter.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Conrad, to VNA Family Hospice Punxsutawney Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association, or to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
