Margaret “Peg” J. Kniseley

Margaret “Peg” J. Kniseley, 82 of Brookville, (Knoxdale area) passed away at home on September 17, 2021.

She was born in Hillman, Indiana County on March 24, 1939, a daughter of the late James Irwin White and Dorothy Naomi (Allison) White.

On July 17, 1959, she married her sweetheart, T. Craig Kniseley. They enjoyed fifty-seven years together.

He preceded her in death on January 19, 2017.

Mrs. Kniseley was a member of the Knoxdale United Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Ladies Aid and volunteered her time for anything that was needed.

She loved her family dearly, she enjoyed caring for them.

Her husband Craig grew the garden and she canned it each year.

She and Craig enjoyed camping trips and being together with the kids.

Oil painting and embroidery was a talent she enjoyed when wasn’t busy doing other things.

Life blessed her with four children, Delores Neff and husband John of Townsend, Delaware, Rodney Kniseley and wife Darlene of Brookville, David Kniseley and wife Tommee of Cheyanne, Wyoming, and Brenda Kniseley of Ridgway; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Joan Snyder of Punxsutawney.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two sons, Steven Kniseley and Edward Clair Kniseley; brothers, Richard and Robert White.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home officiated by Pastors Joni Williams and Michael B. Coats.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Rossiter.

Memorial donations may be made to Knoxdale United Methodist Church or Knoxdale Volunteer Fire Company.
