Margaret V. Eddy, 98, of Punxsutawney, PA died Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 3, 1917 in Irvona, PA, the daughter of the late John B. and Mary J. (Adams) Adams.
She was a homemaker and attended the Covode United Methodist Church
On March 1, 1935, she married Clarence H. Eddy who preceded her in death on March 12, 1977.
She is survived by one daughter, Cindy Saxton of Punxsutawney, PA and one son, Thomas Eddy and his wife Mary of Rochester Mills, PA.
She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Daniel Wulfert and wife Mary Jane; Lois McKee; Rita Lippert and her husband, Rick; Charles Wulfert; Eric Eddy and his wife Janette; Leif Eddy and his wife Kaylan; Mary Ann Reeseman and her husband, Terry; Lisa Wingard and her husband, Jason; and Chad Saxton and his wife Shawna.
She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Wulfert; two brothers, John and Raymond Adams; and by one sister, Bessie Watkins.
Friends will be received at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, PA on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8.
The funeral service will be held of Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Blair officiating.
