Marian A. Marshall

Marian A. Marshall age 88 of Rattlesnake Road Brockport, Pa; died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Highland View Health Care Center in Brockway.

Born on June 28, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Puhala Koval.

She was married to John “Jack” Marshall on February 16, 1949 and he survives.

Retired, Marian had been employed at Brockway Glass for 43 years as a packer.

She is a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway, where she also was a Rosary Society member.

Marian was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

The most important thing to her was being with and caring for her family.

She cherished and remained close to her brothers and sisters and their families throughout their lives.

As a homemaker, she was known for her good home cooking and preparing large meals for her family.

In addition to her husband she is also survived by a daughter Susan (Joe) Starkey of Pittsburgh, Pa; three sons: John Marshall of Crenshaw; Richard Marshall of Brockport; James (Donna) Marshall of Brockway; two sisters: Patricia (Mike) Cimbora also of Brockway; Genevieve Smith of Rosemont, MN; nine grandchildren: John, Brian, Joshua, Justin, Sam, Jack, Cristina, Michael, Mary Ann and three great grandchildren: Xavier, Emma and Maura.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter Mary Ann Martini, four brothers: James, Richard “Dick”, Robert, Tom Koval and four sisters: Agnes Baka, Betty Mooney, Irene Halko and and infant sister Shirley.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 9 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Tobias Church with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding.

Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.

A Vigil Service will be held on Sunday evening at 8:45 P.M. also at the funeral home.
