Marie E. (Price) Rippey, 74, died Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born on April 02, 1941 in Lock Haven and was the daughter of the late Wilcie H. and Annabelle (Bauman) Price.
On June 11, 1959 Marie married the late Bruce E. Rippey and they celebrated 36 years of marriage together until his death on May 12, 1995.
Marie was a graduate of Lock Haven High School Class of 1959. She was a former member of the Church of Christ, Lock Haven.
Marie enjoyed discussing current events, traveling, reading and baking, with chocolate pie being her specialty. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Large holiday gatherings were always special with a fabulous variety of food, goodies and other surprises, such as the annual Easter egg hunt, piñatas in trees and outdoor games. She especially enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren search for the pickle hidden among the Christmas tree branches. Marie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Marie is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law; Laura L. and Richard Frisco of Farmington Michigan, Rebecca A. and David Ivory of Altoona and Lisa M. and Edward Osmolinski of DuBois, one son and daughter-in-law; Bruce W. and Paula Rippey of Jersey Shore, 12 grandchildren; Natalie, Ryan, David, Christopher, Shaun, Julie, Matthew, Lindsay, Kelsey, Eric, Rachel and Angela, four great grandchildren; Kaelyn, Bailee, David, Jr. and Michael, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Harry and Betsey Price of Fairfield, California and Dale and Cathy Price of Fairbanks, Alaska, one sister and brother-in-law; Rosie and Donald Brubaker of Middleburg and one sister-in-law; Kathy Price of Maryville, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by one granddaughter; Kelly Rippey, one great granddaughter; Hannah Ivory, one brother; Lee Price and one sister; Sara Askins.
