Marjorie “Marge” Ellen Hetrick, age 79, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015, at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville, PA.
She was born on September 27, 1936, in Brookville, PA, to the late Wayne and Mary (McAfoose) Michael. She has been married for over 60 years to Harry Clay “Blake” Hetrick, who survives her. Their marriage began on June 18, 1955, and took place in Brookville, PA.
In addition to being a homemaker she had worked for the Corsica Truck Stop, and in the Clarion Limestone School Cafeteria. She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Brookville, PA. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed camping with her family, loved her rabbit Misty, and looked forward to spending time with her high school graduating class members.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 4 children, Timothy (Carol) Hetrick of Fredericksburg, VA; Cindy (Gary) Evans of Brookville, PA; Penny Hetrick of Bradenton, FL; Derry (Holly) Hetrick of Clarion, PA; 1 sister, Beulah “Eileen” Michael Stahlman of Brookville, PA; 10 grandchildren, David and Jonathan Hetrick of VA; Aaron Evans of PA; Christy Steed of NE; Mathew, Jeremy, Erica and Brooke Hetrick of PA; Juan Pablo and Tomas Isaza of Colombia; 6 great-grandchildren, Lily, Noah, and Emma Hetrick of VA; Bryce Hetrick of VA; Gwendolyn and Cassandra Evans of PA.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan Scott Evans.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 15, 2015, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015, also at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00am, with the Rev., Chuck Jack officiating.
Interment to take place at the St. Johns (Windy Hill) Cemetery, Rose Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 30 White St., Brookville, PA, 15825, or the Clarion Forest Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, 271 Perkins Road, Clarion, PA, 16214.
