Marna L. (Yeager) Simpson, 82, DuBois, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born February 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Edgar F. and Margaret (Bierly) Brasseur.
Marna was married to Irwin Simpson, who passed away July 16, 1999. She was formerly married to Robert E. “Bob” Yeager, who passed away on January 26, 2012.
Marna graduated from Sandy High School in 1951 and attended Lock Haven University.
She retired after 33 years as the office manager and corporate treasurer at Lee-Simpson Associates.
Her hobbies included gardening and knitting, and she was an avid fly fishing enthusiast.
She is survived by four children, Cindy Catalone of DuBois, Trudy Yeager and her life companion, Ron Hudsick, of Penfield, Douglas (Hope) Yeager of Woodstock, VT, and Robert W. Yeager of Clearwater, FL; five stepsons, Christopher, Roger, Martin, Mark, and Dr. T. Clark Simpson; three grandchildren, Forrest Yeager, and Matthew and Christina Catalone, two step-grandchildren; as well as three siblings, Charlotte Kolash of DuBois, Linda (Lowell) Mann of DuBois, and Edgar (Rebecca) C. Brasseur of Ocala, FL.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, January 19th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Friday, January 20th from 10-11 a.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. of DuBois.
A funeral service will follow Friday’s viewing at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Zillhaver officiating.
Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
