Martha A. Good, 89, Marion Center, died Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Mulberry Square.
She was born December 16, 1924, in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late Raymond C. and Dorothy (Walters) Perkins.
On December 28, 1943, in Marion Center, she married Frank L. Good, who preceded her in death on October 27, 2005.
She worked for the Marion Center Speedway in the concession stand for 15 years and also assisted her husband on the family farm.
She was a member of the Gilgal Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Electra Rebekah Lodge 537, the Gilgal Presbyterian Women’s Group, the “Homemakers” – a local women’s group, and the Marion Center Fireman’s Auxiliary.
She enjoyed making wedding cakes for her friends and family. She also enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, baking, and embroidery.
Surviving relatives include four children, Judy Mills and husband Ray of Alliance, OH, Linda Pennington and husband Bill of Marion Center, Laurie Weaver and husband Larry of Marion Center, Richard Good and wife Rainey of Marion Center; twenty seven grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two nephews; three nieces; and a daughter-in-law Ruth Good of Fairmount City.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Raymond K. Good, a sister Bernice M. Nagy, a granddaughter Kimberly Priest, a great granddaughter Kylie Socol, a sister-in-law- Nora Mae Anderson, a nephew Rodger Nagy, and a niece Suzanne McCullough.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Gilgal Presbyterian Cemetery, Marion Center.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Gilgal Presbyterian Church or Asera Care Hospice.
