Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy Topic of Community Breakfast

Lora Adams-KingCLARION, Pa. – The Rev. Lora A. Adams-King will be the keynote speaker at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Breakfast at 8 a.m. on January 18 at American Legion, Main Street, Clarion. The theme of the breakfast is “The King Legacy: And Justice for All.”

The cost is $7.00 at the door.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the breakfast for a food drive. Please RSVP to rsvp@clarion.edu.

King has been superintendent of Farrell Area School District since 2010. She serves as pastor of New Life Family Worship Center, Franklin. She has received multiple awards:

· Pennsylvania House of Representatives citation, 2012 and 2013

· Farrell High School Alumni Hall of Fame Inductee, 2013

· Westminster College Distinguished Alumni, 2012

· Cedar Avenue (Sharon) Church of God Hope Award, 2011.

She and her husband, Howard, have six adult daughters and eight grandchildren.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Breakfast is sponsored by Clarion University and Clarion community organizations, charities, and churches.
