Mary Ann (Domine) Moore, age 84, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, as a resident of the Jefferson Manor in Brookville.
Mary was born on December 15, 1933, to the late James and Anastasia E. (Gresko) Domine, in Canonsburg, PA.
She graduated from the Canonsburg High School and on January 3, 1952, she married Edward Martin Moore, also in Canonsburg; Edward preceded her in passing.
She worked for a few different places throughout her life including the Gulf Station in Brookville, the Pennsylvania Memorial Home where she spent many years, and she also work for Wes King. She volunteered with the Warsaw Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Nativity of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church in DuBois, PA, where she volunteered to help run their Bingo nights. Mary was very bold and a strong-willed person that fully loved and adored her family. She was an avid reader of books and she enjoyed working her way through crossword puzzles. She was a fan of game shows and she liked being able to work in her garden. Her current and most favorite interest or position held was that of baby sitter for her great-grandson Kayden, whom she also adored.
Mary is survived by 1 daughter: Mary Jo Clark of Clarion, PA; 2 grandchildren; Chris (Jill) Clark of Hazen, PA; Angie (Evan) Boyer of Brookville, PA; 4 great-grandchildren; Kayden, Joel, and Brooklynn Clark, and Desmond Boyer.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 9, 2018, from 9am – 11am, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825.
A funeral service will immediately begin at 11:00am, also at the Funeral Home, and officiated by Reverend Vasyl Banyk.
Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Brookville, Pa.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Nativity of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church; 200 McCullough St., DuBois, PA, 15801.
