Mary Ann Hawk

maryannMary Ann Hawk, 73, of Clarion, passed away on Monday morning, April 11, 2016 at her home following a short bout with Cancer.

She was born on April 18, 1942 in Erie; the daughter of the late Braden Aljoe and Twila Clinger Clark.

Mary Ann spent most of her childhood in Corsica and graduated from Clarion Limestone High School in 1960.

She was married on May 21, 1982 to Jack Ray Hawk, who preceded her in death on February 25, 2016.

Mary Ann worked as a waitress/hostess at the former Wolf’s Den Restaurant in Knox and the former Johnny Garneau’s Restaurant in Clarion.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Mary Ann enjoyed bingo, her flower gardens, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, William Menteer and his wife Janet of Florida, a daughter, Tracy Hetrick of Saint Petersburg, PA, two step sons, Steve Hawk and his wife Kelly of Brookville and David Hawk and his wife Pam of Corsica, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Menteer of Strattanville, her grandchildren, Amber Menteer of Brookville, Nikki Rawson and her husband Mike of Strattanville, Ryan Menteer and his wife Courtney of Brookville, Hanna Hetrick of State College, Heidi Smith of Brookville, Tyler Hawk of Brookville, Andrew Hawk and his wife Jessica of Wilkes-Barre, Jessica Dembo and her husband Brad of York, PA, a sister, Audrey Dick of Erie, and three brothers, Donny Aljoe and his wife Rose of South Carolina, Lou Clark and his wife Linda of Ebensburg, and Tom Clark of Brookville.

Mary Ann is also survived by many close friends and her caretaker, Deb Perry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, John Menteer, one infant son, David Menteer, and two brothers, Bob Aljoe and Dick Clark.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 in the Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.
