Mary I. Fusco, 90, Punxsutawney, died Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born April 25, 1926, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Rose (Palladino) and Carmen Fusco.
Mary was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church.
She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America since 1951 where she served several different terms as Regent for a total of eleven years. She also held office as Vice Regent and District Deputy.
Mary worked in her early years for Montgomery Wards and retired from Integra Bank as a Loan Officer.
She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, reading, and spending time with her family.
Surviving relatives include a niece Carole Shultz and husband Herman of Punxsutawney and a nephew Joseph C. Longo and wife Diane of Meadville; two great nephews, William Shultz of Walston and Joe Longo of Meadville; three great nieces, Brenda Waid of Meadville, Tracy Brenot of Meadville, and Denise Winters and fiancé Blaine DeLorenzo of Punxsutawney; five great-great nephews, Brennan Winters, Billy Shultz, Travis and Michael Brenot, and Zack Waid; and three great-great nieces, Megan Winters, Brittany Waid, and Danielle DeLorenzo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise (Fusco) Ali and Margaret Longo, a brother Michael Fusco, and a great nephew Kevin Longo.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2016, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2065, at SS.C.D. Church with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Ms. Fusco, to the donors’ choice.
