Mary L. North, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. North was born September 30, 1927 in Canoe Twp., Indiana Co., a daughter of the late Lindsey E. and Mary I. (Houck) Richardson.
She worked many years at Riverside Market as a cake decorator before retirement.
She loved cooking and baking for her family, friends and neighbors. Mary was a kind, generous, selfless person whose greatest joy was bringing happiness to others. Her most cherished times were those spent with her loving family. She was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her sons; Daniel Ritchie and wife Kay of Punxsutawney, Roy North of Big Run, daughters; Judy A. Goulish and husband John of Punxsutawney, Georgia L. Trombino and husband Joe of Virginia, Kathy Auer and husband Phil of Bethel Park, Debra Reed of Texas, Donna Tangren and husband Bill of DuBois, brothers; Dennis Richardson of Albion, James Richardson and wife Marie of Covode, sister; Bernice Homan of Marchand, a daughter in law; Zoe Ritchie of Smicksburg, thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son; James L. Ritchie, brother; John Richardson a sister; Ethel Garner and son in law; Randy Reed.
All arrangements are private for family and under the direction of the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
